If you are a parent or counselor, you may find a student that has aspirations to attend a highly selective college. 

One of the hardest things to do is to have a conversation with a student who is interested in applying to a college where they may not be a competitive applicant. 

Parents and counselors often ask us how to be honest with their children about their own prospects. 

No one wants to have that kind of tough conversation with someone they care about, but you also do not want to set anyone up for failure.

Today’s post is about having that conversation.
