Welcome! If you are in the college application process, you may encounter interviews. Sometimes they are optional, sometimes they are mandatory (you should always take an opportunity to do an interview), but they do exist.
They can be nerve-wracking if you do not know what to expect, but fortunately, we have put together some questions for you.
This guide is not exhaustive, nor is intended to help you provide formulaic responses. But it is intended to provide you with some knowledge of what gets asked on the interviews, and help you prepare accordingly.
Understand - there are (usually) no right or wrong answers when answering questions. Instead, the interview is intended to:
Test whether an individual is able to communicate and answer the question in an engaging/informed way
Provide information on the candidate that cannot easily be found through an application submission
